It works equally well as a grid-tied self-consumption system or a fully independent off-grid solution, delivering significant bill reduction and reliable backup power, with an estimated payback period of just 3 to 5 years.

The package includes a Solis 10kW S6 Series low-voltage single-phase hybrid inverter, a 16.07kWh Dyness PowerBrick lithium battery (~15.27kWh usable at 95% DoD), and eighteen 620W Jinko bifacial monocrystalline panels (11.16kWp array). In Nairobi and similar climates, this array typically generates 35–55+ kWh per day — a strong match for households using 30–50kWh daily. The 10kW inverter offers excellent headroom for simultaneous high loads — multiple cooking appliances, water heating, laundry, home office equipment, and modest air conditioning — without frequent overload, while the battery provides strong evening/night coverage and multi-hour essential-load backup.

This system offers substantially larger generation capacity than our 8kW/~8.7kWp option (suited to 700–1,200kWh/month), while retaining the same reliable 15.27kWh usable battery as the primary storage for long outages or very high evening loads. The system is also expandable — additional Dyness PowerBrick batteries and panels can be added later as your needs grow.
